I keep reading rumors that McCoy has already broken 230 but is waiting to release the video. I wonder if there’s any truth to it.

Same, I am anxious to see it.

Vincent deffenitely went all in. I saw a picture last year where he has a line up of these VTE2s ready to go and a plethora of lipos.
It had to have been $20-30k pictured.

This is why I laugh when people come in with a limitless in a box and say they want to go 200 mph. The kind of money it takes and the acceptance of crashing destroying $4k rigs is not something most of us can stomach.

Vincent is a good guy and dedicated, also a team Ripple Killer member
He has been putting up good numbers consistently for awhile now. Glad to see him in the 3 way tie for 1st. I'm amazed at what these guys have hit.

And the perfect road which can be very difficult to find.
I don't think anyone goes this fast uses public roads.
A giant airport runway is almost a "must have". Listening to all his steering input on that run it was dancing around....

So many reasons I gave up on the idea of going 200+

That’s a good point. I wish I understood how they get access to runways like that.

It seems like these smaller air strips are more open to it over on the east / north-east coast.

Yes Vincent has been around for a while and he is very helpful to all. I have spoken with him a few times for some advice. He’s actually not too far from me but we never linked up. Was trying to get access to that runway. It’s like 3 hrs from me. Brandywine airport in pa. And yes James has went 230. He will not let the cat out of the bag yet. He is waiting for the right time. He is a good dude also. Great help

Vincent and I were talking about making custom bodies and molds last year.
I had done it a few times and he was looking for guidance. He was working on one, but I think he may have given up on it.

Making custom molds are not as easy as it looks... Jason Flores (Flo-Pack) gave it a try also and gave up on it.

I wonder why McCoy would wait for a “right time?” Especially when there’s currently a three-way tie at 224? Whatever, I guess. I’ve always been a big fan of his and I’ve always been glad it was him that pushed up the numbers. It’s cool as hell to see a regular dude with limited resources achieve that level. I know he’s fully sponsored now, but he”s still a cool guy.

He wants other people to have their moment as #1.
He waits for someone to hit 225. He will let them enjoy the glory for a month or two then he will release his video.

I cannot believe he has the patience to hold on to such an exciting achievement.

I was on the runway with Vincent when he ran that 224 pass.
Really was a great day out there we had.
I wasn’t pushing any dual motor/3 motor cars that day and was mainly focused on backing up my 1/10 wr pass which I did.
We should be getting back out there soon,
I have run a handful of passes over 200mph on my road but the reality is I recently lost about 3000$ of components into the woods when my 3 motor limitless sheared an axle pin and got sent off the road.
Running those rigs that are that much of an investment really is best kept on a runway but it takes a lot of work to get access to a runway so there will only ever be a few guys that even have the financial allowance for that record and be able to get enough access to a runway to achieve it.
