I'm trying to figure out some double fan mount for the Hobbywing 5687 - 1100kv motor. Might as well post some pictures while doing so. Been using a single server fan on both the XRT and K8. Motor gets pretty hot anyway in summer.

I started out using this design on Tinkercad. Then quickly realized it won't fit on the K8 and XRT M2C mount.

So here is what I am coming up with. Printing in PLA for now. Will be in TPU when finished.

On the K8:

Moved the zip-tie position.

On the XRT a little less high:

May use "greentec pro" filament. Pretty heat resistant compared to PLA. Will see if TPU is stiff enough.

Fasten with zip-ties. You can also use normal fans if you don't want to cut the body of the XRT. But then - some cars actually have the blowers right up front on the bonnet - in real life. So in the rear they can't be too bad. 🤪
For better surface - print slower than I did. :ROFLMAO:
Infill: 80%
Print first in PLA to check how it fits. Then adjust z-height in slicer if your mount is too high or low and pushes against the M2C mount or diff cover. If your adjustment is no more than about 15% it will still fit (if you use TPU).

Best to go directly to the ESC power source where the fans of the ESC are connected. Use the Y-cable to connect ESC-fans and motor-fans. Those Amps of 2 fans need not go over the receiver.

Update: More closed version also added.
