Blown center diff. Melted
Just wanted to ask. I have had 3 pack of 6s go through this car. I never even considered a differential would blow on the 4th. A nice lowdown pop and puff of blue smoke too. Is this grounds for a warranty claim? Car is less than 3 month old.

Same thing happened to me after about 10 packs in hot weather gotta change out the diff oil more often in the center than front and rear. I just cut the melted diff housing away with some snips and re used the gears. Worked fine cheep fix. I also replaced the orange o ring later cause she kept leaking. Good luck !!!
It probably leaked oil in the box bra.

@Hye If yar in da UK rest assured Armma is comin back CML distribution is the new distributor, thank the lord. This week had to buy a new diff from across the pond... I think Arrma / Durango is one of the best hardcore base cars chassis out there how could they walk away from such a great reputation. In 2 years time Arrma could have the rep for the best RC cars out there, such a great easy car too work with.

@Bartez that's great news! I love my arrma. I'm waiting for the outcast to be back in stock so I can order another for my brother. So easy to work on!

Is it worth it to get metal diff cups for the arrmas? I haven't shimmed anything in either of mine yet, no play side to side, but there is a little in both outdrives between center and rear diff on my Senton, haven't gotten around to checking on the Kraton yet, but am considering getting metal diff cups throughout for both vehicles eventually.

Yes metal diff cups from hot racing or even gpm are your best bet, won't melt again I've had no problems since getting mine. I've got all 3 with diff cases and front and rear bulk heads, do them as they go out or when you do your check up next
