What's that little black capacitor on the front

I have a savox servo, and the PO told me the capacitor helps prevent voltage drops under high load. It's a band-aid if you don't want to run an external BEC. I have heard varying opinions on whether using a cap is actually an effective alternative, but I figured it can't hurt. It's plugged into the spare port on the RX.

Seems like it would take extra voltage just to stop a voltage drop they hold a lot

Do you notice a difference withe or

I'm not sure, I haven't run it without it.
