@72Z15SS i think overheat because of all this: 14t, mx38, front dirt guards, tall sideguards, shroud cover. So i guess i might as well go back to 12t cause i never reach full throttle on 14 anyways hehe
Or remove the front dirt guard maybe?
 
Wow, mmmh, did you monitor temps?

Its hard to believe ESC overheat as it has a temp cutoff. The motor would have demagnetized as well.


Just saying bro, If I am jumping from a 14T to a 20T, just bringing an example, and from 4S to 6S.... and heavier tires, and do on, anyway you get my point. The next logical thing is to monitor temps. But I don't think it was the mud guards and gearing as you are not the first w such upgrades. There would be tons of reports peopke posting overheating failures. Seeing its an isolated incident either a fluke, or a cable got tangled, battery moved creating contact to metal etc.
