It was an awesome event yet again this year, much thanks to Fast Track hobbies for putting it on, and especially to all the volunteers like
@Da Spanky that make this possible!
It was great to see and bash with you again
@PeighDay, I think there is a good chance next year you'll see me with a cart full of RCs like yours, lol. And echoing the previous sentiment, if there was a hospitality award or similar at the event, you would definitely win it!
For anyone seeing this and wondering if they should come out next year, do it! I drove up 3 hours one way and camped out in the mountains Saturday night, I would easily drive two or three times that distance for an event of this caliber without a second thought.
It's got everything, from an area to send it as hard as you want, to a crawler course, learning to fly a plane, racing boats, etc. etc. Just an awesome event that's both family friendly (it was great seeing whole families driving their RCs around the event in convoys) and has the room to do some serious bashing.
From beginners to seasoned experts, there is a lot for everyone!
Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures this year as I had too much fun bashing (and fixing, the parts breaker ramp definitely is aptly named), but here are a couple pictures of the aftermath.
The total carnage for this year included:
-two left rear arms
-one front lower arm
-one front upper arm
-some bent hinge pins
-two blown tires
-four snapped shock standoffs
-two steering rod ends
-and some electrical glitchiness from having too much fun in the water
Overall, not too bad, I think I broke fewer parts than last year! I'll be trying out the RamJam titanium shock standoffs, but other than that, I think I have my basher Kraton at the point that all I really need to worry about is consuming arms on poor landings.
