Kraton Diff Gear Ground into Chassis?

I'm taking my Kraton apart and switching chassis to M2C Racing, putting in a set if Fast Eddie Bearings, rebuilding diffs, etc. I took the front diff off and it appears that the ring gear ground into the chassis at some point. All the teeth look good and I cannot find any crack in the diff housing. It was not making any noise. It hasn't been run many times either. Anybody else ever noticed this?

It's pretty common for any one of the three diff to make contact with the chassis if it's taken some hard hits while bashing.

It's that high pitched screeching noise you hear for a split second when you lawn dart one into the ground on a botched landing.

I've never heard that noise with mine, but I did hear it a few times when my buddy was airing out his Talion. At least I'm assuming that was the sound... could have been his shocks screaming at him.
