Does anyone run aluminium aftermarket shocks, or are they not really necessary? Also, what upgrades are the most important?

Not really unless you've already wrecked and just need to replace them.

Having extra sets of tires are the most important.

Does anyone even make aftermarket shocks for the Vendetta?

-edit- I see Hot Racing and some crappy Chinese shocks. Stay away from the cheap Chinese shocks on eBay and Amazon they are junk, they either leak, have mismatched pistons or the spring rate is wrong.

Absolutly not needed!!
usefull Upgrades:
-spare tyres, spare tyres
-Arrma 4s V1 Servosaver 25tooth
-faster servo
-esc setting punch a bit higher, break a bit higher, something like 20k CST oil into Diffs
-spare Spurgear/plastic diff parts or switch to metal Spurgear and Diffs-Gears
-arrma slipper sleeve ring !! (or oktay 7075 alloy slipper clutch)
-spare pivotballs plastic, or better one from alloy or traxxas rodends with metall pvot balls
-better fans (rocket 30mm for motor, yeah racing 25mm for esc)
