Big Rock Dumb Question - How to tell difference between front and rear sliders?

Well, I think the title conveys the question. Just to elaborate a bit: I got a parts lot and have a handful of CVD sliders for spares. They're unused but unmarked. I'm not sure if they go to the front, the rear, or some combination thereof. Is there an easy way to figure this out? Thanks so much in advance!

They are interchangable for both front and rear.

The rears have a rounder u join and the fronts have a more oval shape. They are interchangeable but the front in the rear will be weaker
