ESC max5 8awg to 10awg soldering together how will this work out?

Wiring will get hot if you’re pulling big current and the solder joint could let go. This one looks cold already on the 8awg side.

Winter bashing on adequate gearing should be no problem. I’ve ran 8S(dual 4S) through 12 gauge battery wires.
