Hello all,

Starting a build thread for a Kraton 6s EXB RTR. I would consider this a "parts that I want to try" build.

I'll forewarn you, I do all my hobbies in my unfinished basement, so the floors and walls are retro .

Delivered, sitting next to the KEXB roller.

Opened...new car smell.

Beautiful setup almost went with an identical BCM upper. You running a kingpin?

I currently am using the hellfighter with freedom fighter and was curious about the kingpin/ar mag lock setup.

Yea, what can ya do, except move out (eventually that's the plan, CA is getting worse every day)

It's the hell fighter with the ar maglock set up. When I built it a few years back, I played with different combos. This combo felt the "most natural and smoothest," comparing it to regular mag changes but still CA complaint. Hell fighter button isn't too bulky (obviously you know), and the maglock works when you set it correctly. Of course they're smooth mag changes when you're sitting at a table slow firing at a static paper target 100 yards away lol (Raahuage's in Corona).
Exactly, it is what it is, have to play within the state laws. I moved to NY due to work and my gun hobby has been replaced by RC. I don't mind it, but I wouldn't mind building a rifle and test firing right outside in my backyard

Rigid, but aesthetically I don't know how I feel about it. Shiny though.

I'll try this servo from Amazon, tall servo mount, and use this RX with AVC.

Two holes in the rear brace. Second hole is right beneath the black plastic in the brace.

One hole in the chassis for it.

Front end started with a thread locker party.

You should check out the Hyperflow MMX8S fan mount. The M2C one retains the super fragile Castle plastic shroud and will most likely snap even with the M2C support system.

Looking good! My Kraton 6s V5 has been upgraded with the addition of M2C shock towers and chassis braces; Scorched hinge pin mounts; Hot Racing gearboxes; Castle MMX 8s with 1717 1650kv motor and 20T pinion; PPS motor mount; Powerhobby 729MBL servo; Hot Racing servo mount; Backflip 6s tires; and more. It's a beast!

Finally drier out and the sun decided to show. Did a few top speed passes before cleaning up the front yard of all the fallen branches. Hit 67 and 68 mph geared 23/50.

Even ripped a tire lol

Nonetheless, smiling like crazy... FUN!
