Talion Tamiya RC Aluminum Reinforced Tape?

Has anyone ever tried this with their RC bodies?
Tamiya RC reinforcement tape
If so, any good?
Thinking that this might be a good alternative instead of doing the messy E6000+fiber tape, plus be less weight added to the body overall?

Do you think tin foil will help to keep your polycarbonate/lexan from tearing?

This is to prevent exhaust pipes from melting plastic.

True, however they mentioned at the bottom of the details, it can be used as reinforcement too.. I am just thinking of doing a reinforcement on my RC body soon.
Researching different options that won't add too much weight to it. I've done the Gorilla tape on a few and even at 1 layer (overlapping), it does a decent amount of weight to it..

I used woven polyethylene tape and e6000 in tight corners for additional adhesion. Looks like the price went up a bit since I last ordered, but 10' will do a lot.

Is it thick like gorilla tape or something thinner?

Seems that there are alot of RC brands that carry similar tape to the Tamiya I linked. Some mention use it for reinforcement and others say for nitro heat shielding...

Well it seems the Dragon skin is on backorder atm... Says it extremely lightweight...
