I’ve made a lot of purchases from Ali with no issues. But yes you need to be careful to choose the right version of the product as it’s easy to overlook.

I've found anything too good to be true on Aliexpress is. I found a RhinoESC and motor for under 50 bucks and the storefront was a sham. That was a fun dispute for weeks with Aliexpress. Honestly the Max6 G2 is already only 225 on Hobbywing's website with coupon code EXOCAGEDRC so there's really no reason to shop on Ali for it. 225 is absurdly cheap for an 8s system.

Pretty common bait and switch on Aliexpress. It's so hard to shop there because you have to actually open every listing to compare prices on the correct item. Look for servos and you see brushless servo from AGF listed for 10 dollars and it's because the Servo Horn alone is the first item on the listing. Super frustrating
