I went through same thing..how dis thing come off?!
It's really a genius design that allows bearing replacement without even opening the diff. I know, should be servicing the diffs if the outdrives need bearing replacement..

Well I couldn’t get it to come out. I had to use pliers to hold both diff cups including the opposite sides to get it to stay still so I could do it. It was I. There super tight
Huh, mine came apart pretty easy. Does ur X have alot of runtime on it? Water, snow? Well, regardless, glad you got it apart. Compared to disassembling a traditional 1/8 diff, I thought the TRX 8s setup was pretty slick.
