Did the kit come with two spacers? Those should have gone above the bulkhead and under the bumper support. For added "impact" compatibility, one should use a longer screw at the bumper side and sandwich some washers and old shock shaft O rings between the bumper and bulkhead support arm.
I'd use two aluminum washers between each O ring. This will help dissipate impact shock. If you can find aluminum screws on the cheap then even better. They will bend but save your bulkheads and even the bumpers. Not to mention weight savings (wink).
Believe it or not, Alu screws are cheaper to make than steel and they are made (throw away part) to retard damage to higher cost components.
Better to remove bent aluminum screws than the bulkhead and diffs. YMMV.
