Guys,

Still thinkin about what to do with my clear Typhon body.. Was planning to do a orange and blue Gulf theme..

But after accidently coming across a "how to carbon fibre" video on YT.. It got me thinking..

Why don't i put 2 layers of carbonfibre fabric onto the inside? Glued in there with epoxy..

Would make one hell of a killer look..

Only concern.. Will the 2 layers and epoxy make the body to rigid?

Only one way to find out.... post pics??

If im goin to do this.. Ill make a build log for it..

But looking though this website that sells the fibers.. Im now in doubt..

Wil i make it CarbonFibre:

Or should i do Kevlar:

Or.. Make it a bumble bee with a combination of both..:

Shouldn't be an issue. Be sure to get the crystal clear epoxy resin. A lot of resins turn yellow....
As far as the weave type color and style that is a personal choice. FYI Carbon blocks RF so make sure your antenna sticks above the body. While cutting be sure to wear a respirator, the dust is bad for your lungs!

If you want the carbon fiber look, there are stickers that will work (inside stickers too). If you're going to start laying carbon fiber, use the clear body as a mold and make a full carbon fiber body!
