Just use a staple gun I heat the staples up with propane torch and push them through the body and fold them over on the inside.

Might not look pretty but, it works. Lol. They sell a unit that will melt metal pieces into bumpers or plastics on ATV's.

Dad has been messing with this for years. Drill holes on either side of the crack. Weave different fishing lines through it and use different glues. Depends on the plastic and how strong you want it to be. Sure, it looks like frankenstein, but some repairs are 10 years old. Well worth the try.
