JennysRC has the Take Off OE Hardware kits for each model.. Where I get mine. I might buy 2 kits to start out with and get an organizer box from the Home Depot to organize them. Should last you a while.Hello again,
I've been doing some Amazon wishlisting and I would like to get a screw kit as buying a set of 2 or 4 screws at a time is getting annoying and expensive. I know that the screw kits don't necessarily have all of the screws you would use on the Typhon or the Big Rock, but am having difficulty narrowing the general rc screw kits down to one that covers most of what you need.
This is mainly because some of the screws are getting to the point where I may have to hacksaw the limb they are attached to (this is down to being a noob and not having a decent set of hex wrenches when I first started out. If you have any good Amazon links to share it would be really appreciated.
Many thanks for the help.
Mat.
FWIW, Arrma OE 4x4 screws are 10.9 grade steel. The 6s models use OE 12.9 grade steel (strongest). If sourcing other than stock, may want to consider this when shopping around. 12.9 is best. 10.9 at a minimum makes sense for 4x4 models. Some suppliers that don't even offer those specs are probably low grade/ no specs to begin with. So watch out for the very cheap prices.
Stay away from SS upgrade kits. Like those from RCScrewz. I find that they are just too soft, break, bend and strip out at the Hex heads much more easily.
