Anyone know the bearings these motors use front and rear?
My motor has been getting quite hot recently and I think it's still on its first set of bearings (after 8 years).
I run the car every day so it would be great to know the bearing size beforehand so I don't have to take it apart 2 times lol.

Took a quick look at jimsbearings.com. They are generally spot on. The phrase "this kit is compatible with ALL years and models" seems to validate @Tex Koder's info. I'd feel pretty confident jims knows what up.

Thanks guys! Can I just get any bearings that size or are there any, like quality or performance classes to look out for?

It's an 8 year old brushless motor...

Get them from Jim's and call it a day.
Nothing more to worry about.

ABEC is (i believe) an American based standard for bearing tolerances. But doesn't not govern performance standards. Generally, motor bearings are listed as being in compliance with ABEC 5. I have, at time, seen ABEC 3 bearings advertised as motor bearings. Not sure what the equivalent european standards may be though, so I can't help you there.

You could check if these available for shipping to you:
https://www.amazon.com/5x16x5mm-Precision-Brushless-Bearings-Chrome/dp/B01N1TLHSN/
https://www.amazon.com/5x13x4mm-Precision-Brushless-Bearings-Chrome/dp/B01NAKDNO7/

Aside from that, i'd search "brushless motor bearings" and the particular sizes mentioned here and see what comes up. Possibly even search for "ABEC 5 brushless motor bearings". Otherwise, you'd need someone from your region to chime in with advice on sourcing motor bearings (y)

Jim's is based in the US, I'm from Europe and would prefer to order the bearings from somewhere near :)

I forgot you're over the pond.

Understood.

thanks, I'll check how they'd be labeled here
