Apparently, a simple de-icing function can cause Catastrophic engine failure... IF you turn it ON (and leave it on..) when not needed?

Pilots Need to remember to turn it off -manually. There is NO automatic feature, currently.

Maybe they should consider switching from CFM to Pratt engines on the Max. Just sayin’ 😁

You should send over a bid to Boeing's CEO Dave Calhoun..
Do you want his email?

Unfortunately, that's how it is in all areas: instead of developing what has been tried and tested even better, it is discarded and new things are built that are "even better". And with each level of technology the susceptibility to errors increases.
I trust the engeneers more than the financial controllers, who usually save a good patend to death.
I am a worker in the development of a global car company and what I experience every day in this area is undescribable. The difference is that a car stays on the ground ( if nothing happens ) and doesn't fall from the sky.
I don't't talk about RC cars...:ROFLMAO:
