Hey All,
Just finished my BRRC build. I bought a Big Rock slider over a year ago, and didn't get around to working on it until nearly 13 months later. (2023 was a rough year...)
Anyway, I'd planned to drop a HW system in there. However, back in May, I made an impulse buy of a TC Sketer. I loved the rig out of the box, but thought it was a bit sluggish. So, over the summer I upgraded it to a 6S platform. This meant I had a 2150 KV motor and 135 amp ESC laying around with no home. So, I did the only sensible thing and dropped it in the Big Rock slider.
Here's the build:
GPM shocks
Hot Racing bell crank
Hot Racing 17mm adaptors with 10mm extension
Proline Badlands tires
19t pinion
Kuron 725 - 2150KV motor
Torox 135 - 135 amp ESC
25 kg "Amazon Special" servo
RadioLink rc4gs transmitter and receiver
Blue BRRC body, with decals
The 4S system should run nice and cool on 3S, but I still want to add a motor fan. I already have the fan, just need a mount for it. The only other thing I need for it is the aluminum center shaft support. I've broken two of the plastic ones, just trying to get the bearing to seat correctly...
Anyway, here are some pics:
It should be a fun rig.
It's been rainy, so I haven't been able to take it out. Hopefully Christmas in N. Texas will clear up a bit and give me a chance to give her a quick shakedown run.
