Thanks @Doom!

Well I ended the previous update prematurely because of the maximum attachments allowed in one post. So today some pictures of the final work on the K10 body. As mentioned I painted the stock black wheels white to match the two-tone body.

On the pics above the wheel only have the white primer added. I did not notice any difference between the white on the body and the white wheels before I installed the body back on the chassis. Then the difference was obvious between the different white paints, the primer is a brighter white.

The final white color … more a ‘old’ white.

I also added the panel lines to the body today, I used “Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color Black” for that. The lines are so fine on this body I did not dare to use a panel line marker as I did on the Patriot body. Really easy to use and any spilling is easily cleaned up with the special cleaning tips and some X20 thinner.

Below some pictures of the finished body. At this moment I am not sure if I want to add a wash to the body. I am really happy with how the two-tone body came out, nice and clean. I am worried a wash could fug it up and make me regret doing so. So for now this is it, perhaps I will add a wash in the future, who knows …

Yes, I have … I am negotiating to trade some spare parts with another crawler guy I do deals with on a regular base. And chrome K10 bumpers, grill and mirrors are probably going to be included in this trade. He is currently abroad working off-shore .. so I have to be patient for a while. But I am working on the chrome …

Thanks ! Below some pics of the "end result" of the combination.

I will park this project for now and will get back on the finishing touches (chrome mirrors, grill and bumpers) when I can make the trade with my buddy Paul, this will be the last week of may.

Untill then I will take a small break and start another small scale project. This will be a cosmetics project only, dressing up the FMS Toyota hilux with scale parts and weathering the truck. Looking forward to this one.

Thanks for following the buildthread, see ya later !
