Buying a used Traxxas X-Maxx what to think of?

So when you buy a used X-Maxx what do you think is good practise?

For example

don't buy a 6s version or a upgraded from 6s version to 8s
don't buy the first gen 8s X-Maxx because of reason X
don't buy a 3 year old because of reason X
don't buy one that have been jumped bash hard
don't buy if esc fan and motor fan is broken (jumped hard).
don't buy if chassi have noticable marks
don't buy if not original body is still fine in decent shape
don't buy if shocks have tuned to extreme.
Where is stock ESC?
Where is stock motor?
Stock tires destroyed?
