Searched and didn’t find anything

Was wondering if anybody’s painted the shock bodies?

And possibly what kind of paint i should use

Ok thanks

I’m trying to make my red shocks black

I just use aluminum paint?
Can I just paint right over the red?

Appreciate the help guys
If you paint them with like a can of paint its going to flake off. Anodizing i think is a kind of cobtrolled oxydation. Its done with a coloured powder and heat i believe

Yeah I’ve done some pretty poor anodizing a couple times 😂

I’m actually wanting black shock for a Talion and I have a red set was hoping I could just paint them

Can you post up a few pics of that truck in your Avatar? Looks awesome!

Thanks

You can apply paint as much as you want. How effectively the paint adheres, though, is a different matter as discussed above. As long as you don't somehow get paint onto any sealing surface (like o-rings or shock body thread), then I don't see any harm in trying to pain them and finding out how well it sticks. Just my two cents.
