I cut off the stock receiver box up to the servo mount, and flattened the floor. The receiver is mounted to the front of the servo or you can put it on the floor in front of the battery.

Thanks for that. I'm not trying to rake anyone over the coals with this deal. The motor, esc and servo are brand new. All parts except the M2C mount are also brand new. I built this car from parts I accumulated over the years plus whatever else I needed from Jennys Rc. If it sells, it sells. If it doesn't, than one day I'll get it out and have a go at some top speeds.
