My soft case LiPo packs have a large opening where the heat shrink fits over the wires. At first I thought it might not be an issue as the battery sits with this end oriented rearward in the car which protects it from direct blasts of debris from the tires, but after a few runs it was obvious some dirt and grass was getting in and mingling with the cells. For now I just stuck some gorilla tape over the opening which seems to work okay, but has anyone come up with a more elegant solution to this sort of problem?

Have you tried it? If so does it hold up long term? I thought about using shoe goo or similar but concerned the motion of the wires will work the bond loose over time.

I use it for work for more abusive taking things. It dries solid and can be cleaned.
Get quality stuff though...not the average kitchen stuff.
