Infraction Educate me about 185 vs 200

What’s the difference between blx185 and a blx200. Would the infraction benefit more if it came with the 200? I’m just curious as someone had mentioned the possibility of the infraction v2 coming with the 200. (If I read it right)

Is it the features within the esc? Would it run cooler/more power with the 200 esc/motor combo?

To the best of my knowledge the BLX185 is a "Hobbywing QuicRun 150A ESC #WP-8BL150" and the BLX200 is a Hobbywing Max8..
The Max8 has more settings including adjustable LVC and a higher BEC voltage I believe ???

Yes, but no. The Max8 has lots of adjustments, but the BLX200 is locked down like the BLX185. If you want full programming options, , get a real MAX8.

That might be over my head. All I’ve done is change the braking to 50%. Is it worth changing the punch settings?

Both the BLX185 and BLX200 have punch settings you can change.

The Max8 can adjust the BEC voltage (up to 7.2v), and the LVC cutoff, and a few other things, I think.

Yeah I did one setting today. Now do you have to replace the motor to match the esc?

Nope. You may need to swap motor plugs. I think the blx185 has 4mm, and the blx200 has 5mm. Maybe. Lol
