EXB MOUNT::;;Is hobbywing 1650 kv ,,4985 motor to large dia to fit on this mount. Is there info on this in the manual, those kind of specs would be good in the manual. Chim in arrma experienced.

It fits perfectly. The 4985 motor can is just wide enough for it to fit, but the ribbed heatsink built in to the motor can rub on the chassis when jumping if you don't add padding

You don't have to add padding, but I would highly recommend something such as closed cell foam or a rubber grommet (I CA glued a rubber grommet to my chassis) underneath the motor when you mount it. It helps dissipate the shock too as to give your motor a longer life

If you are going to run larger than a 20t pinion you'll need a different motor mount. I use the PPS, it's great! I'm run the HW 1650kv with a 22t.

you can use strap around the motor, this helps protecting the chassie and motor, strap is more easy than padding.

You can also use the straps to mount engine fan also

Gabe 21t pinion is no problem with stock motor mount.
My brother got stock EXB Mojave and MAX6 4985 combo. He use 21t without any problems.
I know this because i did the Combo install to him.
