Goedendag,
Hebmn eerste arrma wagen gekocht eem granite.

Jan,
Since you got a nimh battery with the granite you most likely have the brushed version.
I recommend a 2s (7.4v) lipo battery. Don;t forget that lipo batteries need special care, so do some research how to charge en store them.

Have fun with the Granite!

Zijn die motoren geschikt voor verschillende spanningen?

Not really, the ESC (Electronic speed controller) that is in between the battery and the motor controls the voltage and has its limits.
Your ESC and motor can handle the 8.4v nimh and 2S lipo (which is also 8.4 volts when fully charged). The big difference between the two is that the lipo battery and nimh, is that the lipo can deliver more current, more power.

A 3S lipo gives 12.6 volts when fully charged. Each S is one cell and one cell has a voltage of 4.2 when fully charged. Your esc and motor will not handle 3s.

What is your idea? You want more speed?

Bedankt ..ESCis dus bepalend voor voltage.

Mij idee is langere rij tijd.
Ik wou een accu bij kopen maae zijn zoveel soorten en maten dat ik daar vraven door kreeg.

Dit is mijn eerste auto en ben erg enthousiast.
Dus sneller zou ook leuk zijn.;-)

Battery capacity (Mah) determines the drive time. More is better, as long as it fits in the car.
A lipo battery (8.4v) will do slightly better than a nimh, but requires a better charger and safe storage procedures.
Brushed electronics will keep speed limited. Might still be good as it's your first RC experience. But for more speed, you eventually would be better off with a brushless version.
