so my son destroyed his previous body, and i got him a new shell, cool orange color and decided to build some protection, i used a 1/4" x 36" plastic rod, and a heat gun to get the bends just right, used a mini solder gun to mark my drill holes, one at a time, and secured with 12 little bolts, nuts and washers on inside, also used 3m weather striping adhesive (used to secure windshields) to add a small blob over each nut on inside for added strength and flex.. i think it looks pretty good, so just another idea if anybodys curious...

I need something like this for all my cars, especially when she drives lol. No, that isn't me bashing on her because of that whole, women can't drive thing. She is literally harder on the RC cars than I am, and I'm brutal at times.

That looks nice! How long did that take you to do??

prob 3 hrs, as heating each bend point all around the rod takes some time, or it will just break if not heated through.
