Looks stock Typhon suspension. Towers. Everything.Great looking build! Looks like you swapped to Kraton towers & shocks with the Typhon A arms?
I wasn't sure. I'm not super familiar to the Typhon. Awesome looking rig!Looks stock Typhon suspension. Towers. Everything.
I pulled the springs off the typhon shocks and used Mojave 6s springs because they're stronger. Just replaced the shock oil because the car was 2 years on the original fluid. Diff oil was changed as well, 60k - 100k - 30k (F-C-R) I achieved a wider stance with Mojave arms, which then requires the axles, and a bit of a strength increase in the springs as the center body weight is further away from the shock mount location on the arms. Thanks, not looking to spend anymore than I need too.
Thought I might be able to make the stock shocks work. That is with different oil and springs??
If you're not gonna jump it high, you probably won't need to do anything to the shocks. I made a heavy Senton 6s out of Typhon parts. Typhon arms towers and shocks, but decided to put on Mojave front springs and Fireteam front springs at the rear shocks with 1000cst (80w) fluid, keeping the stock Typhon shock pistons. Reason being, is that I used aluminum bulkheads, hinge pin holders/suspension blocks, chassis braces and servo mount. Added a lot of weight with two, heavy 6200mah 3s lipos. It was scraping LOW with the stock spring setup. Hubs with wheels/tires are unsprung weight, so it shouldn't be a problem, but your Typhon is at the tipping point with weight. Any more weight added and I'd consider my shock setup for yours. Thanks, not looking to spend anymore than I need too.
