I am wondering now what it is the best battery to get for an Arrma senton 4x2 because my brother got one and it runs flat in about 1hr so I was wonder what type of 7 cell battery I should get

One hour run time is actually an eternity, as RC models goes.:giggle: Plenty long enough IMHO.
With Nim packs, they are pretty much all the same except for the capacity measured in Mah's.

>>>What Capacity is your brothers 7 cell 8.4v Nim pack? You did not say.
Buy one that has a similar Mah capacity or higher. Or just the same Nim pack as your brother's.

The higher the Mah capacity spec. of the battery, the longer they will run.
>>>Just make sure to let them go dead completely, then recharge them. They run longest when they are charged from a completely Dead condition. When each cell drops to .9-1.0 volts. Not good to recharge them when only half dead. This Creates a "memory effect" with Nim type packs., and will actually run for shorter times if you do. Best to store them in Depleted voltage condition as well, until you charge them again.

This Nim charging technique is completely different than Lipo type batteries. A completely different Battery Chemistry. Most of us run Lipo batterries with all our BLX motors and ESC setups. Nimpacks are usually found with Brushed motor setups.

Also, you don't need to spend a whole lot of money on 7 cell "hump" Nim packs.

Ah yes the days of battery dischargers built from strips of automotive turn signal bulbs.

Run em dead dead and charge em up is the way of the nihm's.
