So I’m running a Castle Sidewinder 1/8 set up in my race Talion. I acquired a Castle cooling fan at some point so I threw it on. I’m wondering how effective it can possibly be being mounted to a smooth non-ribbed/sinked motor can.

I’m thinking about just throwing it on the BLX 185 in my Outcast because I feel like it will be better used there.

I have just recently put a fan on another car that I have, it has a smooth can. Took it out two days ago and ran it. The temperature would always be 180ish before the fan. Checking after two packs through it first 4s was 145 second pack 6s 150. Wish I had put one on earlier, have to say it was a relief seeing those temperatures.
