Big Rock is this a good replacement for stock Big Rock motor?

Hello. The stock motor on my Big Rock 4x4 v3 3s blx seized up. The bearings were ruined and the motor shaft seems a little bent(?). Contacted horizon hobby and not eligible for replacement as it is just out of warranty.

If I keep the same stock gearing, and stock ESC, would this motor be ok to use? The KV is different than the stock motor (3200kv?). What does the difference in KV do to the car?

It should work fine. It’s slightly slower, might run a little cooler, and you could gear up a pinion tooth or two to bring your speed back in line with, or above, stock. I haven’t heard great things about GoolRC though. For budget motors, I think most would recommend Rocket/Surpass motors for a little more money. They have a pretty good reputation.

I wasn't impressed with my one and only GoolRC motor/ESC purchase. They may exaggerate the stats. Just saying.

I've got a GoolRc 3650 in my slaah 4x4 and it has takin some serious abuse. Its been in there for almost 2 years and was in a buddies 3s arrma for a year b4 that and just keeps going.
I've heard you get some good ones and some junk ones though. Not real consistently in the quality

I forgot and wanted to add I do not recommend the goolrc esc. They are absolute garbage. Just use a decent esc and you'll be happy long as you get a decent one like me lol

I took the advice and payed a little bit more for the surpass motor. Ordered a 3660 3100kv. Aliexpress says it’ll should arrive mid-June. Total with shipping was $42 CAD.

I looked at the spektrum motor from Jennyrc. With shipping to Canada came to $65 CAD

I watched those video links explaining what kv is etc. Very informative.
