I am starting my first full upgrade. I have made small upgrades and repairs to my Kraton 6S, Nortorious 6S, and Outcast 8S. On this Kraton I had started with EXB shock towers, center braces, and several different wing mounts. But this is by far the biggest at one time. Throughout this process I will be upgrading everything below.

M2C:
Chassi
F/R shock towers
Shock tower brace kit
shock stand off kit
steel hinge ge pins
F/R center brace

Basher Queen:
ESC carbon fiber mount
F/R bulkheads
carbon fiber center brace

Hot Racing:
center bearing cover
center gear support
center brace rear
steering hubs
rear hubs
servo arm

HobbyWing E-run Max8 G2 motor (4278SD- 2250kv) and esc combo
Edit 5/20/2023- putting this on my Nortorious

On the Kraton I am putting an MMX8 with 1520 1650KV castle

PowerHobby 729MLB servo

I will start out running 16t (60f, 200c, 30r)

I can only hope it turns out how I envision. Currently, I am not a super basher. I send my trucks 6 to 20 ft off a ramp I buildt in my backyard. I am still learning how to drive! 😁 I just want something stong enough to survive my learning. I almost enjoy Working on them as much as driving. I have not made up my mind on body. I will figure it out during the process. Hope you guys enjoy. Oh yea, please provide any feedback you feel will help me along! Thanks for looking!

Journey begins!! 🫡

Note: I hope I am downloading the pictures right. If not live and learn, right. I can correct as we go. These first pictures shows the beginning first few hours Saturday night. Hopefully it shares a story.

Nearing the finish. I have added hubs (front/rear), back assembly, motor mounts, chassi brace, and battery/rx assembly. All I really have left is setting motor and electronics. Still trying to decide on body. I will need to make adjustments on body or mounts. The M2C addition in the back throws things a little out. I am concerned with weight. My motor may be light for this. I ordered a scale to see where it is. I may have to upgrade to the 8S system to control temps. I will try the system, but I am concerned.🙂 Other than that, I am very pleased with the way it is turning out.

Looking at setting up electronic now. First question 🤔. How do I know which way the 729MBL servo plugs into the reciever. It has two black wires and one grey on the end. Which is positive and negative?

If the jst plug doesn’t have a key to match the receiver cutout you’ll have to trial and error. It won’t work nor hurt anything being reverse polarity. 👍🏼

No wiring instruction in the manual? They try to make universal cross platform fitment, but surprised they don’t standard color coordinate wiring.

Thanks for the reply. It did not come with a manual and it will plug both ways. As long as it will not hurt anything I can try until it works. Not sure why they have thier on system with colors.

Ok, I have completed the build. I set all the electronics, set my end points, and cleaned all the wiring. I am running the castle MMX8 and a 1650kv motor. I have inserted a 18 tooth pinion with 60,200,30 on differentials. I still have some work to do on the shell, but it is ready to run. I have to wait on the weather now. I do not want to run in a wet environment. 😁 Very happy with the way it turned out. Now to see what I can do with it in action!
