I have thought about running two 2S Lipos to get a longer run time and wondering if I would be causing any damage to the motor or ESC of a stock Typhon Mega V3 and Big Rock 3S. I've read that it should remain the same voltage as long as it is connected the right way (Series).,

Yes if they will fit under the body you will be fine. Running in parallel as you said will just combine the mAh amount and keep the same 2s voltage

Is this modification of sorts pretty common I could find much information on it except the cars that come stock with the ESC designed for it. I thought about it since I have been soldering my own connectors. Something else for me to try. Guess I just needed a little confirmation. Thanks for the nudge.

Make sure you pay attention to your motor and ESC temps though as the longer you run the hotter they'll get.
It's definitely common, I had a cheaper Hosim 9125 and ran dual 2s batteries for longer run time.
