so im sure everyone knows what an EXB Roller looks like when its fresh out of the box . so ill start this with a couple quick pictures of what i did and how the initial setup was like , then to the FULL rebuild , of every single screw , bearing , spacer , and piece of the truck .. FULL takedown cleaning and reassembly . fixed some issues along the way . i went so far into it because the further i took the rig apart , the more i found ether the factory missed , or just plain forgot . im going to try and post pictures and details about each in chronological order . this is going to be a very long post , but i will try and add to it often . this rebuild i drug out for 12 weeks while i was on medical leave from work.. so here it is my journey with the 5th scale Kraton EXB "Showtime"

chose the HobbyStar 56112 980Kv

i used some adhesive backed .125" foam to cover the servo/ receiver box bottom so its not a solid to solid surface . also keeps crap from getting underneath , and protects the chassis from scratches on the footprint .

dropped in a spare Spektrum receiver to mate with a Dx3s transmitter

20220731_163713.jpg

went with the Hobbywing MAX5 ESC..
20220801_222354.jpg

slapped on a 20 dollar set of Amazon fans and a crappy heatsink . . i know , i know ... noting too awesome yet .. but be patient . this is just how it started . gearing for my 1st run was 34/39

I used the same TRX 20 mil in my 8s rigs. I think it's slightly better than earplugs imo. Nice job! 👍🏼
Personally use earwax, better than everything else imho.

Does that actually work?
You mush have some
Yup, good excuse to not rebuild diffs too since I only get enough for a diff after 6 months👍.

Great looking build so far. I run the max5/980kv in my Outcast geared 30/39 and it’s a beast. I’m debating jumping up to 32/39 with my current rebuild.
she gets warm pretty quick north of 32/39 . but i like the ridiculous speed on the Masher HP's . later in this build log youll see how i keep temps in check now ;-)

That’s one thing I like about 30/39 I’m running now, no need for fans and still plenty of power.

Nice rig!!! Heal fast and well!!!! And get back to work. 😉💯

Next step was putting on some Masher X HP's boy I really did copy Duperbash's rig lol
20220807_145352.jpg

To go with the new shoes , I finished taking off the stock decals , and added a few .

Then I thought I may as well give her a name . So ..... with my driving style , and how radical the truck is .. "Showtime " was born
20220817_174142.jpg

This is pretty close to the point of the full rebuild . I believe I took it out 1 more time and tore it down . So stay tuned ! The real in depth nitty gritty is up next !

Those Mashers look awesome....have you run them yet?
Yeah , I actually shredded 2 of the 4 . I love the grip , speed , look , pretty much everything about them , but they just can't handle tall geared 8s power . Clocked 63 acrossed a soccer field with them though . Honestly my favorite so far have been the stock Copperheads
