Outcast Smart battery level

On my outcast, I have the dx3 and all the firma stuff, forgot to me soon but it’s the v5. And I know that it can display battery level on the dx3, but can it display batt level on the dx3 if im running another battery brand other than spektrum?

It has to be a Spektrum smart battery. It has the chip with the telemetry on it.
