17mm hex nut replacement

I'm having to replace a wheel hex nut on my Arrma Nero but I am impatient and want to run the truck today! Any idea where I can buy a temporary replacement? My local hobby shop only sells the nuts with a kit. I believe the threaded portion is 1/2"? Will a 1/2" fine thread nut from hardware store work?

I am guessing since the outside is 17mm that the inside threads are metric. You could maybe try an M10 jam nut if you can find that locally.

Couldn't you buy these and just use the nuts? They are all interchangeable I think. Then you would have spares.
