Why specifically 7.8 MM??
Just curious what application this is for.

I run these 6mm cvds on my Xtra wide mojave, probably 10-15 packs through without issue. The problem with going larger diameter is you'll get interference at full droop and shock travel articulation with the output cup/arm.

I built a 1/2 Kronos xtr with 1/2 kraton 6s exb parts need upgraded drive shaft to handle max 6 combo with a 20/ 47 pin spur

I relate, having a Fireteam. With the wide arms. I find that you need to limit full shock compression with 5mm shock limiters at the front to prevent issues best. I use stocker CVD shafts. No popping out at the Output cup issues now.

I also am running dual shock towers 5mm 7075 and 5mm carbon fiber with gpm 8mm shock shafts with outcast 8s wing and wheelie bar

Unrelated, but did you double up your shock towers? Looks like a great idea, are they bolted together?
