I've busted off 3 or 4 wing mounts on my outcast in the past year and while that's not the most expensive thing, it adds up. Has anyone figured out a relatively robust alternative to a wing to have something that kind of protects the rear tower area?
Back in the day, savage guys made roll cages out of delrin rod and would launch them off buildings. It looked ridiculous, but for people like me, if it saves my tower, shocks, chassis, why not?
I don't have a welder or machining tools other than a dremel, hack saw and drill. Would be nice to have something like that to help keep the body alive longer and to absorb some of the impact from a bad landing better.
Not sure I'd go as far as this guy... but you get the general idea.
