I am currently running a Mamba X and a Castle 1512-2650kv motor in my Granite Mega 4x4. I run it on 3s with 17/57 gearing. I wanted to try 4s but my Mamba X has an XT60 and my 4s battery has an XT90.

Today I swapped out the Castle and put in the BLX185 that came out of my Typhon. It has XT90's so I figured I could give 4s a go. It went well and I really like the extra speed. So here is my question. Do I just keep the BLX185 in there or do I solder an XT90 connector to my Mamba X? I do like the data logging and the sensored operation of the Mamba X, but I am not sure how it compares otherwise to the BLX185. Thoughts?

Personally, I would solder on the different plugs. But then, I have no issue with my BLX185 either, so...

The Mamba X fits better too. It’s smaller. I’ll probably solder.

I don't like running adapters. I used to but not anymore. With 4s you really need an XT90. I'll have the dude at my LHS solder it on. He doesn't charge me because I buy so much poop from him, lol.
You should solder it yourself it very easy
