Hi everyone!

I have an Ovonic X1 charger and was wondering if the following would work - connect a large capacity battery (say, 10 000mAh) to the DC input on the back of the charger. And charge as usual from the front.
Would it make sense or it's madness? If it's doable, any pointers for a good read/video about this process? Something that needs special attention?

Thank you! :)

It'll work, but how practical it is depends on what wattage you need. I'd look at a LifePO4 battery for the supply if it's significant.

@CrashBoom The idea is to charge a 6-7000mAh 4S battery.

The capacity on those would be ~100-120w so I'm not sure how much sense it makes to use a battery for the power supply.

In some cases you're better off just buying more batteries. Or look at a portable generator.
