Question; do you use the shock's fully expanded length to limit downward travel of the a arm, or do you use the upper tie rod?

You want to account for flex. So go up a little.I’ve always used the full shock length. I literally adjust the droop screws until the top of the shock lines up to the shock tower. Obviously under no wait. Bash on ??. Recommend using the tekno or the Nero shock ends for one of the 6s rigs.
