Hi I just bought the gp5 gear to go into the limitless but when bolted up it’s to tight to turn, the diff case and housing have the same part numbers but the bearings don’t although they are the same size, any help would be much appreciated thanks

Same diff housing as the rest of 6s lineup.higher gears thou.15/42 compared to 13/43Hi I just bought the gp5 gear to go into the limitless but when bolted up it’s to tight to turn, the diff case and housing have the same part numbers but the bearings don’t although they are the same size, any help would be much appreciated thanks
Hi but when I put them together they won’t turn it’s to tight I was wondering if the bearings were somehow different although the same size like stepped in a bit, thanksSame diff housing as the rest of 6s lineup.higher gears thou.15/42 compared to 13/43
Say you're using the GP5 15T pinion with the limitless ring gear, you're adding two more teeth compared to the 13T. That might be why it's so tight.Hi but when I put them together they won’t turn it’s to tight I was wondering if the bearings were somehow different although the same size like stepped in a bit, thanks
Hi I’m using both the gp5, I’m not using any shims at all thanks, does this metal plate at the back come out thanksDumb question - are you using both the GP5 input gear as well as the GP5 crown gear?
If so, are there any shims on the diff outdrive that are pushing the crown gear intro the input gear? If there are, take them out and see if that improves anything.
I'm almost certain u got the diff in backwards.flip it around an try it.Hi I’m using both the gp5, I’m not using any shims at all thanks, does this metal plate at the back come out thanks

HOLY FCK! Did a supplier mismark a batch of GP6 (45T) crown gears as GP5?
Hope someone at Arrma knows about this because they are going to be in for a world of hurt....
Also - does this blow the theory of swapping GP5 and GP6 diffs in the Felony to run equal tires on all corners???
Lol it was marked wrong, I’m putting these in the limitless I like the look of the bigger tires on the back, but I’m getting the gp5s sent to me again so now I’ll have spares I’ll be able to change when I want, thanks for your help pal cheersHOLY FCK!
