Anyone know where I can find a 3s lipo shorty battery pack with higher mAh and c rating than 4400/120?

C-Ratings are arbitrary, so don't believe what's comes from the battery manufacture. There are a bunch of threads on this.

If you want high performance you can go with a parallel battery setup, or buy a pack with it. It would be marked as 4SxP, where the x is NOT 1. It's the number of parallel cells.

Maclan has a bunch of high end batteries. They are designed for high current loads, like drag racing.

Island Hobby Nut has their own

Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t aware of the fact the discharge rate is often fudged on some batteries. That’s disappointing but not totally surprising. I purchased a small (1550mAh 4s) shorty to replace the 3s that I smashed in my most recent attempt at a personal speed record. However I broke my cups and a couple driveshaft pins as well as tire sanded my knuckle almost to the bone when I made a critical mistake of powering off transmitter before truck causing it to go wide open while I was holding it. 😆 28,000 rpm out of control makes for a hell of a mess. Tires tore to pieces while spinning in the air.

If I was looking for the highest output "shorty" pack, I'd be looking to but one of these:

Only 4000 compared to the 4400 that you mentioned, but their SRD packs are top notch and used by many for speed running.
Appreciated. Those are nice and nicely priced. The mAh isn’t too much of a concern with this truck as it’s only good for a few-5 runs before it needs to cool or crashes.

If your going to crash do it right and get it on video.

If you want to ruffle some feathers just post about the great the C-ratings are on some battery. It's worse the politics or religion and the claws come out.

There has been a bunch of research and testing done by various people in different forums. The thread below has more info .... which leads to a rat hole of hours and hours of info if you have a few days to spare.

Realistically, the super high-end batteries will yield a bit more performance. Unless the current batteries are way under powered it's going to be a few MPH and a few mins of run time. What they do allow you to do is gear up, but then your limited by the amount of heat you can get rid of. Then .... you get the idea.

In the end the application and use of the batteries is never exactly the same and people use what they use for whatever reason.

Right is how i do it. I'll take your word over a rabbit hole of garage drop tests. Something about rapidly heating Chinese fireworks doesn't seem like the kind of something my insurance company would appreciate. Seems pretty straight forward. Use what will work to get you where you're trying to go, understand some limitations and you get what you pay for.. Enjoy the video clips & yes, I'm aware this $100 truck is not made for what im putting it through but i think its pretty fun so i do it.
