Kraton Jumping with 20t pinion?

Am I crazy to try it? I’ve been doing lots of speed runs and some mild bashing in grass/dirt and the stock motor/ESC seem to be holding up fine. (Have a Fan on the motor, temps max out at 113F).

How hard will adding in some ramp jumps be on everything?

the smaller gear is like a 15-16... the larger one makes the truck go faster top end.. thats a 20 or so... i use the big one on my talion... But the 16 tooth is best for the bigger trucks like the Kraton... use that one for jumping...

Yeah bigger gearing always helps out for jumping.

The kraton comes with a 12 and a 14. The outcast has a 12 and 16 and the Talion comes with a 13 and the big 20.

The newer Kratons come with a 15t for the speed pinion. I'd be worried about heat running a 20t on stock electronics.

180 is the max. Anything over that and you are pushing your luck.

Good to know. Ill do some testing and I’ll keep an eye on temps.
