Conceptually works but putting in those tiny 3mm x 3mm magnets is too much of a pain. Will evolve to a single 15mm x 3mm magnet. More to come.

Another thought is to just print an entire new set of replacement mounts, but not sure how PLA will hold up.

In the meantime if you’ve seen or designed something similar let me know!

PLA+ and Tough PLA

For a Body Mount...
Will hold up much 'better' by about 10 packs or so ,IF you're a "Gentle" basher.

If you Bash.. it'll Blast instantly.

You really need to make it out of Flexible PLA.
Or better yet TPU.

@Tex Koder thanks yes I have PLA+… will try that first.

I have never printed with TPU before. Any brand and specific type or hardness that you recommend? Also any slicer settings that have worked well for you? I have an S1 Pro, I think we have the same printer.

I have the S1
Printed Flexible PLA.
Need to use Blue painters tape on build plate.

Modding/Tuning it to print PETG fast... currently.
So it's kind of it in pieces..

Haven't printed TPU on this printer ,yet.

Tried before on my other printers...
Was a mess..

The body mounts are not the same height apparently, after pulling them out to get ready to install the new 3D printed parts. The front is about 4 mm taller than the rear. The location of the holes are at the same spot from the bottom.

Also not obvious, but the mounting posts on the rear project forward a little bit more, by around 3 mm, compared to the front.
