Ok just received my new set of the proline 10155-10. Which are the new 3.8 belted hp trenchers. Here's some pics of them next to my bashers and my paddles both are prolines. Just to give an idea of the weights.

I should note that if you don't own a pair of sling shots they are light as sh*t.
I got them for 130$ from the proline website with free shipping after I used a coupon I found on retail me not.

Wow! Those are some heavy SOB's! Added to my list.

No excuse for that weight!
What do you mean? They have more stuff inside lol is that a good excuse?
I will be doing a drive test on them soon but I'm totally rebuilding my outcast right now. Should be done in like 3 days. I take my time. It's not heavy to me. My outcast weighed 13.4 lbs with the aluminum body post and what not and I'm running a new body now so well see when I'm done.
I very used to running my tc7.2 and my sc6.1 so I need my outcast to drive better. Im hopeing that these tires do it for me. I honestly hate bashing for the fact that it just drives like a quad with flat tires. It's more like; just use the outcast when I'm feeling like letting my dogs chase it and stuff rather than actually feel like I'm ripping around a track reaching for tenths. I rarely even want to mess with longer than the battery cause I hate not being in control more. What's the use of the power if you can't put it down.

Eight I just drank a red bull and finished putting it all together. Super 'no ice' looks good but I cant run it truly before i get my new body and that's not going to be here for a day or two. Check back for that full session but for now this picture will have to do. I'll try to run it a little bit tomorrow after work just to get a feel for the tires.

No, he means that besides the static weight that just makes your car heavier, you also have to consider the rotating weight.

Big, heavy tires have the same effect as adding four, big, heavy flywheels to the car. They will slow your acceleration down.....

Um cars only have one flywheel. J.p.

Why didn't you add the mashers and the sling shots? And is that weight on the mx38 accurate? Cause 2 grams less is not a lot at all.

Ok so did a little 15 minute session on the road and my front yard grass. These tires are a game changer. I had to swap my diff fluid out to 30k front and rear and 60k in the middle cause the tires distribute power way more evenly. I will probably get a nice big session Monday or Tuesday but as of now it is unreal how much better the truck reacts. Anyone that says they don't like them obviously never ran something with more precision like a touring car.

On the road the belted tires accelerate so much faster it's crazy. They can put the power down so much faster. With my castle link I have the power curve set up so 50% throttle is about 50% power and so on because if you hit the throttle befor there's would balloon as soon as weight was transferred. So now with the same power curve I hardly get any lift. (I will post pictures of the curve this weekend when I adjust it) I feel like now I can make it way more aggressive because there is more tire on the ground to aid in grip and once the weight transfers it doesn't wheelie and just blow up the front tires. Instead it squats and asks for more. Of course if I slam the throttle it'll just wheelie and land on the roof but I'm talking about rolling power on.

On the grass it was hard to tell for now because I don't have my bec hooked up and I'm only running 6 v on my servo so when you slow down or brake the weight transfers and makes the front end push. I will be soldering the bec back on and adjusting the curve on my mm2 via castle link this weekend. I'm super busy but I'm super pumped so I will be getting it done as soon as I can.

As of now these tires are a game changer and it's only a matter of time(less then 2 years I would guess) before every tire is made like this or somewhat in this fashion. The only reason someone wouldn't like them is because they are use to the ballooning and have their rc set up for the amount of contact/traction you loose when using it. The only negative I see so far (way to early to tell) is it's impossible to run belted and non belted on the same vehicle without changing diff oil and shock oils. So that kinda sucks for when I want to run my paddles in the snow. Only time will tell so check back when i do a full session. Videos and data will be up next week also.

If I am a pure dirt basher, who does nothing but hit home made ramps and BMX tracks and rarely get their truck over 50mph, would this be a tire I would want? How do they react when landing from 30 feet in the air? Will they rotate the truck in the same manner as tires that balloon?

I'm going to say no for the air control. I lost a lot when I went from 4S with the trencher 3.8's unwrapped to 6S with trenchers wrapped. It takes a lot more throttle than it used to to rotate even the outcast.

Although... the new strapped tires are heavier, so that may make a bit of difference.

I didn't jump it at all yet. I'm going to set it up fully and get it 100% befor I take it.out to the gravel pit and hit my ramps I have. Probably early next week.

I'm going to bring my paddles and my mashers also so I can't get a side by side comparison. Can't f'in wait.

Duperbash hated the 2.8's. And the removable hex hubs break, forcing you to by the aluminum upgrades. Hard pass for me. Way too expensive when I can just wrap my tires if I want.

I can not speak for the 2.8's because I don't have any. But as far as 3.8's so far a game changer. Plus I only ran it on 4s so far. Didn't even try 6s which i never use cause the tires would legit get wrecked.

I guess my point is it depends on the driver and what you want to do with the truck. If I can pull a triple on ballooning backflips and can't on belted ProLines then maybe they aren't for me. That's all I'm saying. I don't need to run 70 mph with a monster truck ???

I'm confused on what you mean. But w.e. I'll get it out and up in the air soon and post back. I'm not scared to air this thing. I just like to be able to hit a hairpin within 10 ft and still get at least 30 foot gap.

This is still on the incline lol

No worries. I just don't like the "if you don't like this then you're an idiot or don't know what you're doing" vibe. And careful with the hexes. If the 2.8's bust, I can't imagine the 3.8's won't.

Need... how much of any of this hobby is wrapped around "need". Wanting speed and power... now that's a whole other animal! lol!

I get what your saying though. Wrapping the tires on my savage, erbe and outcast totally cut down how many flips I can pull off and the ease as to how I can do even one. But, running 6S with the trenchers... not much other option that wrapping I don't think. At first on my savage when I ran 6S, I didn't wrap them. They lasted 6 minutes before blowing two off the rim. Luckily, didn't damage either as I stopped immediately and swapped wheels with my outcast to finish the run.
