FWIW, that $900 GT is currently sitting outside in the rain! I managed to keep it for nearly 30 years, indoors..I finally got tired of looking at it and threw it outside!!

It's an unspoken rule in the mtb community... If your bike doesn't cost more than your car you're doing it wrong.
